Safety & Enforcement
Spaces uses reports, automated signals, human review, account security systems, and community moderation to keep the platform safe.
Server AutoMod and private messages
Server AutoMod applies to messages and attachments in server channels; server owners may configure additional restricted words, domains, and file types. Server AutoMod does not monitor DMs or group DMs. Reports and other platform safety processes remain separate from these server rules.
Unauthorized integrations
While Spaces is in closed beta, use of unapproved bots, modified clients, automation, and scraping is restricted as described in the Terms and Beta Program Terms.
Enforcement levels
- Education or warning
- Content or feature restriction
- Temporary account or Space restriction
- Permanent account or Space termination
- Emergency action where immediate risk requires it
Actions are not required to follow every level. Severe or urgent violations may result in immediate action.
Appeals
Where an appeal process is available, use the in-app Support system. Appeals should include the relevant account or Space, the action being appealed, and any information that may materially change the decision. Repeated abusive or fraudulent appeals may themselves be restricted.
Staff safety
Spaces staff will never ask for your password, recovery code, one-time authentication code, or private encryption key. Verify official support links and sender domains before providing sensitive information.
